ANALYTICS NUBE Perspectiva Ejecutiva Infraestructura Watson En todo el mundo

Llamado a Código: Vas a contestar la llamada?

Many of our ecosystem partners—from digital providers to solution enablers to system integrators—have invested in highly skilled development teams to build solutions and applications for their clients. Over the years we have seen how “the channel” has evolved from mostly fulfillment-based activity to a more highly skilled and solution-oriented ecosystem.

En IBM, we encourage our partners to seek out ways to add value for our mutual clients. In January we shared our new strategy and direction, introducing a new framework to encourage greater rewards for partners whose businesses add value for our clients. This year we also kicked off our second Watson Build challenge to help partners develop new IP with IBM’s AI and cloud technologies. I’m proud to invite you to join us in another challenge, el Call for Code Global Initiative. This global challenge not only helps you learn and implement cloud, datos, AI, blockchain and transactional technologies, but it also motivates you to help us make a difference in our world.

A call to our Business Partners
IBM launched the Call for Code Global Initiative in May, in partnership with David Clark Cause, the United Nations Human Rights Office and the American Red Cross. This bold new challenge invites developers worldwide to join a movement for social good.

Este año, el Call for Code Global Challenge asks developers to create solutions that significantly improve preparedness and relief for natural disasters when they hit. This global competition is the first of its kind at this scale. We’re encouraging developers to pay their skills forward for a specific mission—to alleviate human suffering—and motivating them through an award structure that ensures their code makes a lasting impact in the areas of greatest need.

Our first supporters
We are honored to have a number of IBM Business Partners answer the Call and join us on this mission. These early supporters have already begun their partner transformation journeys and are bringing more value to our mutual clients while growing and expanding their businesses.

Ingram Micro is a Gold Sponsor of the Call for Code program. Ingram’s active participation in Call for Code reflects how a more traditional broadband distributor has transformed into a high value-add distributor and state-of-the-art digital marketplace platform provider (with hundreds of highly skilled software developers within their own organization). Ingram Micro will host a Call for Code Day at their large development community in Mumbai this month.

Persistent Systems, an IBM Business Partner that builds software to support Digital Transformation, is also a Call for Code Gold Sponsor and has an inspiring blog published on how they are answering the Call for Code to build a better world. Persistent Systems hosted their Call for Code Day on August 24 at multiple locations in India and Mexico.

Other ecosystem members like Capgemini, Wipro and Topcoder are also active participants in the Call for Code competition. And we are sure that other ecosystem members will join the Call for Code during the coming weeks.

We look forward to seeing how our ecosystem partners will step up and combine their deep skills in IBM technologies for cloud, Watson AI and Blockchain with their social responsibility approach and development creativity to build code that addresses human natural disasters. At the end of October, the Call for Code competition will conclude with a formal award ceremony in San Francisco at the Regency Theater where the winners of the global competition will be announced and celebrated.

There’s still time for you to answer the Call. To join the challenge or become a sponsor, por favor visita https://callforcode.org by September 28. We look forward to having strong representation from our partner ecosystem!
