CRN recognizes IBM for channel leadership in partner program, AI and IoT

Over the past week, CRN recognized IBM in three key areas—our top-rated partner program, thought leadership in artificial intelligence (AI) and innovation in the Internet of Things (IoT).

This recognition reinforces the work we are doing to transform the IBM channel business into the next-generation ecosystem, and it validates IBM’s focus and leadership in emerging technology areas like AI and IoT. I’ve included more details on each CRN story, below.

5-Star Partner Program

For the 10th consecutive year, CRN awarded IBM a 5-Star rating in its annual Partner Program Guide, which lists and ranks partner programs from technology vendors that provide products and services through the IT channel. Awarded by CRN for the past 10 years, the 5-Star Partner Program Guide rating recognizes an elite subset of companies that offer solution providers the best partnering elements in their channel programs. To determine the 2018 5-Star ratings, The Channel Company’s research team assessed each vendor’s partner program based on investments in program offerings, partner profitability, partner training, education and support, marketing programs and resources, sales support and communication.

Thought Leadership in AI

CRN highlighted IBM as a thought leader via video segments and stories that cover CRN’s recent 2018 AI Roundtable in Orlando.

David Wilson, Vice President of IBM’s Business Partner Ecosystem, was one of six thought leaders invited to participate, and he was featured prominently for his thoughts on how partners can quickly get started in AI by infusing it into their workflows and existing products. He also spoke on the transformation opportunity available to partners who are willing to build—not just resell—products with AI embedded into them.

David focused on how partners can put “smart” to work, with a focus on data and industry expertise as key competitive advantages in today’s marketplace.

IoT 50 List

CRN called IBM one the 15 coolest IoT software and services companies in its annual IoT 50 list. We were acknowledged for our Watson IoT Platform, which delivers specialized offerings for businesses across industry verticals, including automotive, electronics and manufacturing. Integrated solutions also include asset management and facilities management.

The IoT 50 list recognizes companies with innovative offerings that are helping connect objects, computing devices, infrastructure, data storage and data analytics that will transform our everyday lives.
