Executive Perspective MOBILE Partner Experience Worldwide

Going mobile: The new Business Partner Voices

If you’re like me, you want technology to evolve to mirror the way you actually work. And one thing almost everyone can agree on is that the need for mobile access and a user-friendly mobile experience is rapidly becoming the rule rather than the exception. Certainly in the blogosphere, technology is moving in the direction of making it easier for you to quickly get to the information you care about most. So that got us thinking.

We know that the pace of business means that you’re usually connected…whether it’s in between meetings at a busy networking event, or after hours in your hotel room on the road. And that means smartphones and tablets are your lifeline. In fact, our metrics tell us that the percentage of IBM Business Partners using a mobile device to connect to Business Partner Voices just keeps growing.

Last year, Business Partner Voices attracted over 35,000 page views from IBM Business Partners and other readers, validating that the site is bringing you relevant content. So we knew it was time to step up our game. I’m pleased to announce the debut of a new-look Business Partner Voices that is mobile-responsive, with new functionality, new content categories and new navigation options.

First steps

Whether you’re accessing Business Partner Voices from a tablet or mobile phone, this site automatically adapts itself for the optimum viewing experience regardless of your device.

We’ve also added new navigation options so that you can sort blogs by Industry, Geography or Solution, with a variety of drill-down options for each. There’s even an auto-translate button, so you can get an instant working version of any of our blogs in ten other languages.

In addition, you’ll find the Executive Perspectives resident on Business Partner Voices. We want to have a two-way dialogue with you and solicit your expertise, so we’ve added a new section called Business Partner Community posts. Our goal is to feature blogs by Business Partners like yourself who are subject matter experts and thought leaders, so we can share your point of view with the wider IBM Business Partner ecosystem. Details on how to become a contributor are featured here.

Next steps

This is far from a static project. My prediction is you’ll see the blog navigation continue to evolve and change as we add new content, new authors and new content categories. We’ll continue to align with and highlight what’s going on in the market place, and how IBM is helping you seize the market opportunity. But a big part of how we’ll evolve the site will be based on the feedback and submissions we get from you, our Business Partners. After all, you’re the reason this blog site is here.

So stay tuned for more behind the scenes news from me and my team, and let me know how our new Business Partner Voices site is working for you.
