Executive Perspective Generating Demand Infrastructure Worldwide

IBM Storage takes a bow

February will be a big month for those at the top of their game. During the 2018 Winter Olympics from 9 February through 25 February in South Korea, elite athletes from around the globe will compete for over 100 medals in sports such as skiing, skating and hockey.

Athletes aren’t the only ones being applauded next month. In February 2018, the best in data management and storage will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals by Storage Magazine and SearchStorage, one of the world’s largest sources of information on storage technology and storage solutions, in their 2017 Products of the Year competition. The field has been narrowed down to 47 finalists, including four IBM Storage products—more finalists from IBM than any other storage vendor:

This adds to an already impressive list of awards we have garnered in the second half of 2017:

And one of my proudest moments in 2017 took place when IBM Storage Systems and Software-Defined Infrastructure was named the winner in the Enterprise Network Storage partnership sub-category in the CRN 2017 Annual Report Card (ARC) awards program.

Before you turn on your televisions and tablets to watch the Olympic coverage, I urge you to watch this 90-second video summary of all the accolades being showered on the IBM Storage and Software-Defined Infrastructure portfolio. Did you know that IBM Storage grew for four consecutive quarters in 2017? This is no time to rest on our laurels. With your help, we will set the marketplace on fire again in 2018.

I look forward to seeing you at Think 2018 in Las Vegas! You can also let me know what you think by using the comments feature below.
