IBM Systems Technical University: How to master continuous change

It’s no secret that business and drivers of technology are rapidly changing. Prospects and customers are far more informed and savvy than ever before. As a result, they have higher expectations amid more choices. As organizations face growing customer demand—along with constant innovation, new technology and competition in the marketplace —they need a well-equipped workforce to tackle these challenges. Employees are constantly being questioned based on their knowledge and skills. They need training that’s evolving as quickly as today’s technology is changing.

How can employees get this training? Technology vendors need to provide the appropriate training for their users on an ongoing basis. Learners need current content, technology training and certifications that equip them to stay competitive, meet business demands and set the whole organization up for future success. Training isn’t optional; it’s required. Continuous learning makes employees confident in their abilities to handle and master continuous change in technologies.

As part of our global IBM Systems Technical University program, two TechU events are coming to Hollywood, Florida, this October. Each event is designed for technical development in IBM Systems and solutions. The TechU event happening October 8 – 12 focuses on IBM® z Systems® and IBM Storage for Z. The October 15 – 19 TechU event focuses on IBM Power Systems™ and IBM Storage. These events include skill-building sessions, hands-on labs, onsite certification testing and a vibrant Solution Center. This is an opportunity for you and your clients to learn from top technology leaders and get access to the latest technology and updates. I’m really excited about the capabilities we’re delivering today, and updates for the future that will be discussed at our next TechU events. Attending TechU will positively impact the way you use IBM Power, Z and Storage, and you’ll see tangible benefits across the countless things your IT organization manages.

IBM TechU Hollywood events offer more than 400 in-depth, skill-building sessions and labs on IBM Z, IBM Power Systems and IBM Storage. All sessions are led by IBM Distinguished Engineers, developers or product experts —the A-Team of the IBM Systems community. Take a closer look at the agenda preview tool for details about the sessions.

I certainly don’t expect the pace of change to slow down anytime soon, so join us and master continuous change with continuous learning.

Register for TechU Hollywood today. I look forward to seeing you there!
