IBM updates its award-winning all-flash Storage Systems, VersaStack and Spectrum software defined storage portfolio

IBM updates its award-winning all-flash Storage Systems, VersaStack and Spectrum software defined storage portfolio

A path toward additional revenue and margin opportunity for all IBM Business Partners

Many organizations recognize the value of using flash storage to deliver the low-latency performance they need for a variety of key workloads, from conducting real-time analytics to running virtual desktops. And as an IBM Business Partner, you know that IBM offers the most comprehensive flash storage offerings in the industry with robust solutions backed by guarantees for performance, endurance and data compression.

That comprehensive portfolio is now even stronger, representing an enormous opportunity for every single Business Partner. IBM Storage has completely refreshed the flash storage portfolio; take a look at the new functionality that we’ve added spanning IBM all-flash storage systems, VersaStack converged infrastructure and Spectrum storage software:

  • With the move to 3D TLC NAND flash and the incorporation of inline data compression, IBM FlashSystem models now offer three times the previous capacity. For example, FlashSystem 900 delivers up to 220 TB of effective capacity in a single 2U enclosure. Your customers will enjoy improved scalability without a performance impact, and best of all, they benefit from lower CapEx and OpEx costs. IBM FlashSystem A9000 and FlashSystem A9000R now provide enhanced IBM HyperScale capabilities for high availability. IBM FlashSystem V9000 is offering many new scale-up and scale-out options for improved efficiency. Of course, the IBM and Cisco VersaStack solutions leverage all of these updates to the IBM all-flash portfolio.

  • There is so much news to share! IBM Spectrum Virtualize for Public Cloud provides customers with real-time disaster recovery, data replication and migration between on-premises storage and IBM Cloud resources.

  • IBM is now offering storage support for Docker and Kubernetes Because this support works with systems built with IBM Spectrum Virtualize (as well as IBM Spectrum Accelerate), that means we bring container support—necessary for today’s cloud workloads—to the more than 400 IBM and non-IBM storage systems supported by the SVC and Storwize families.

  • I am also pleased to tell you that you can offer your customers a pay-as-you-use option: the IBM Utility offering gives instant access to new capacity on many IBM Storage products and on VersaStack, lowering overall costs and addressing unpredictable data growth.

Whether your customers are already using IBM Storage offerings or are considering moving away from competitive solutions, you can confidently present how IBM Storage helps increase scalability, improve cloud agility, streamline management and control costs.

Learn more about this portfolio refresh and read the press release. Now is the time to aggressively market IBM Storage—the entire IBM team and I are at your disposal to help you sell, sell, sell!
