PartnerWorld do Think quarta-feira repescagem: Inspiração e educação

Today was the first full day of PartnerWorld at Think—and it was jam-packed with inspiration and education.

We’ve been hearing terrific feedback about the conference so far. And the proximity to Think 2018 is adding to the value of the event by giving attendees opportunities to learn more about cutting-edge technologies, meet with clients and experience some exciting entertainment.

Here are a few highlights from today’s PartnerWorld at Think activities:

Tapping into strategic insights

I had the honor of opening the general session and sharing some ideas on how Business Partners can put “smart” to work in their fields. Then John Teltsch, Gerente geral, Globais Parceiros de Negócios da IBM, discussed our next-generation partner ecosystem strategy. “The evidence is clear—digital transformation is real and it’s happening now. This is our time to seize the momentum and co-build the next generation ecosystem,” said Teltsch.

Martin Schroeter, Vice-presidente sênior, Global Markets at IBM, welcomed three Business Partners to the stage to share their success stories:

    • Paolo Mazza, CEO da b.digital, shared his experience using Bluemix (now IBM Cloud) and Watson APIs to win the IBM Watson Build Global Championship this past fall. “In innovation, you know failure means learning…and it’s that learning and innovation that led us to win the Watson Build Championship,” said Mazza.

    • Phil Godwin, President of Clear Technologies, told his story about how Clear Technologies is partnering with Dean Foods. Godwin emphasized the value of partnering with other Business Partners for new opportunities. “Now’s the time to partner with each other more than ever,” he said.

    • Nigel Hook, CEO and Founder of DataSkill, presented the solution that his company created for Standard Chartered Bank to help prevent money laundering. His partnership with IBM has created numerous opportunities for DataSkill. “It’s the power to be able to leverage the IBM brand and presence known around the world,” said Hook. “That gets you to the table to compete like this, and what really delivers is the disruptive technology like we developed.”

    Identifying new opportunities

    In part two of the general session, IBM Senior Vice-Presidentes Tom Rosamilia, David Kenny, Michelle Peluso, Bob Lord and Paloma Valor took to the stage, offering insights on technology trends and the opportunities they present for Business Partners. Topics ranged from capitalizing on IT infrastructure, cloud and Watson technologies to optimizing marketing strategies and forging new routes to market.

    Finally, Earvin “Magic” Johnson concluded the general session with an energizing and motivating talk about transformation.

    Diving deeper with executive forums

    In the afternoon, attendees participated in newly redesigned executive forums, which offered opportunities for deeper dives into technologies and business strategies. Attendees chose from forums on digital transformation, embedded IBM technologies, AI-infused solutions, growth initiatives and more.
