Announcing a powerful sales intelligence tool powered by Watson
I wanted to share with you some exciting news from IBM. We’ve just launched IBM SmartSeller, one of the world’s first cognitive sales intelligence systems powered by Watson. Designed to help IBM Business Partners, the tool leverages Watson to give you a whole new way to work.
IBM SmartSeller includes built-in cognitive capabilities and is integrated with a number of other sellers’ tools that you may already be using. The difference is that it uses natural language to help you easily find what you are looking for—or ask a question similar to what you might ask a trusted colleague.
The tool includes four functions. Ask allows you to speak and interact with Watson to ask questions. Company lets you explore different firms and shows company profiles to prepare you for sales calls. The People function provides a personality profile of your client, in addition to other information, and Discover helps you find solutions that meet your customers’ requirements. You can use natural language to describe a client problem and talk to Watson; or, you can cut and paste your notes into the tool and then let Watson suggest IBM or Business Partner solutions to meet your customers’ requirements.
I encourage all of our Business Partners to start using IBM SmartSeller. Take these three steps to get started:

Fully functional Company and People functions complement the machine learning process of the Ask and Discover functions.
Your questions in Ask and Discover will help Watson become smarter. When you ask a question and get an answer that is not complete, you’re helping Watson learn so you can receive a better answer next time.
