Executive Perspective Partner Experience Think 2019 event coverage Worldwide

Thank you! PartnerWorld at Think and Think 2019 wrap-up

Earlier this month, around 7,000 IBM Business Partners from across the globe came to San Francisco for the PartnerWorld at Think and Think 2019 conferences. If you attended, you know that these events were jam-packed with inspiring talks, strategic insights, cool demos and hands-on labs, plus plenty of networking opportunities.

Thank you for helping make these events such a resounding success. Please watch this short video from Jacqueline Woods and me.

Want to relive some of the excitement or refresh your memory of these events? Visit our event recap page for videos and presentations from PartnerWorld at Think.

Here are just a few highlights from the week:

Partner Think-in Sessions: We launched our new Think-In sessions by welcoming several successful authors and entrepreneurs. Charles Duhigg, Jenn Lim, Josh Linkner, Linus Liang and other luminaries provided fresh perspectives on disruption, collaboration, the value of client feedback and more.

IBM Beacon Awards Reception and Gala Dinner: At this year’s Beacon Awards festivities, we recognized 20 years of Business Partner excellence. The celebration started over cocktails and moved into the ballroom at the Moscone Center for the Gala Dinner, where Jacqueline Woods and I presented 17 Beacon Awards to inspiring Business Partners.

IBM Watson Build: The 2018 IBM Watson Build Challenge culminated in San Francisco, where seven Watson Build Geography Champions made their final pitches and judges selected our 2018 Watson Build Global Champion: Compta Emerging Business, SA. A few days later at the Watson Build Showcase, Think 2019 attendees learned more about the innovative Watson-based prototypes from all champions and from additional Business Partners who were selected to participate in the showcase.

Women in Channels Breakfast: This year’s Women in Channels event was once again very well attended. We heard inspiring talks from record-breaking long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad and entrepreneur Jenny Fleiss, co-founder of Rent the Runway and Jetblack.

Think 2019 Sessions: As PartnerWorld at Think concluded, Business Partner executives met up with their teams for Think 2019. They heard energizing talks from IBM executives and industry leaders, explored cutting-edge technologies, took advantage of certification opportunities and chose from an enormous array of engaging sessions. Whether they were looking to learn more about Partner-ready solutions or discover how some of their peers are achieving success, attendees had a choice of more than 1,800 talks, roundtables, demos, master classes and other types of sessions.

Receptions, celebrations and connections: It wasn’t all work in San Francisco. We also had lots of fun at numerous receptions and parties, where we could relax, reconnect with colleagues and meet some new people. I also hope many of you had time to enjoy San Francisco. I think we can all agree it was an excellent spot for this year’s conferences.

We hope PartnerWorld at Think and Think 2019 provided you with the fresh inspiration, insight, education and connections you need to achieve your goals this year!
