Enterprises need a new approach to manage hybrid operations. As apps and IT infrastructure are modernized, additional management capabilities are needed. This need includes a more holistic set of capabilities with insightful data and analytics views across a broader base of users like IT and operations.
Where cloud operations teams need near real-time visualization of the cloud infrastructure, IT continues to manage the hybrid infrastructure to limit business impact of changes and ensure compliant configurations. IBM provides this holistic visibility with insights to understand where the business apps are running and how they are performing.
Enterprises also rely on IBM capabilities for automating discovery of IT systems and IT applications in operation and for updating their IBM, ServiceNow or BMC Service Desk with key configuration change data. Discovery data is used to determine non-compliant configurations and manage infrastructure change to limit impact on end-user applications. This configuration data enables the Service Desk to access a “map of the app” to see what infrastructure components are involved in the app delivery and to see recent changes.
Enterprises can continue to use IBM Tivoli Application Dependency Discovery Manager (TADDM) for hybrid discovery and agile service management capabilities to visualize the hybrid infrastructure topology. They can also observe changes in the more dynamic infrastructure directly in near real time.
Let your clients know the added value they can unlock from IBM TADDM—for example, to leverage their BigFix investment to automate discovery behind firewalled zones, and implement application dependency mapping to increase visibility and understanding across the business.
