Internet of Things Partner Experience Transformation Watson Worldwide

Watson IoT at InterConnect 2017

It was great to see so many of our Internet of Things (IoT) Business Partners at InterConnect 2017. After all the excitement and interest, I wanted to take the time to share some of the highlights with you, along with links to important resources from the conference.

The Genius of Things: An unrivaled global Watson IoT ecosystem connecting our world—changing the way we live, work and play

In the Genius of Things keynote at InterConnect 2017, Harriet Green, Watson IoT General Manager, discussed the acceleration of the IoT movement and, along with industry leaders from SNCF, ISS, KONE, Raytheon and Enbridge, shared compelling success stories of how Watson IoT is helping businesses realize game-changing outcomes.

For example:

  • SNCF is delivering exceptional service to its 13.5 million customers each day and reducing costs while significantly improving the reliability of its signals and trains.
  • KONE is maximizing uptime for more than 1 million elevators and escalators that move more than 1 billion people every day.
  • Dow Chemical Company, which has increased facility use by 20 percent, is saving USD 4 million a year.

For example, for Business Partners who build with sensors, IoT devices and gateways, and who have products that have been integrated or can integrate with the Watson IoT Platform, IBM is launching the Ready for Watson IoT technical validation program.
